Online Shop Now Open

August 7, 2017By adminSTUDIO

It has taken me a while to build and get going……… but  my online shop is now here!

Alongside the commissions that I do, I offer a number of originals, prints and other works. I have decided to offer them online – and in three categories: prints of original artworks, gifting which contains greetings cards, gift wrap and more, and original artwork.

It is important to me that I make all reproductions in this country from sustainable and where possible recycled products. I really believe in supporting British companies in the supply chain of my business, which is why I also use all British-made products in the originals too from Daler Rowney and Rexel Cumberland.

I’ve included four prints in the range in my online shop launch, all from my tropical series. They’re available as prints which I wrap and delivery safely for you, and they’re also available framed and mounted if you want… there are a variety of framing options, again all made in Britain to support British businesses.

Contact me for more information.

Live at New Forest Show

Live From New Forest Show 2017

Despite rainy weather it was a lot of fun, and lots of conversations were had. Most enthusiasm was shown by the kids who wanted to know more about the colours and pictures that the demonstrating artists were using. The kids wanted to get involved so it was great that there was a table set up especially for them to draw, paint and be shown how to mix colours. Lots of people admired the gallery and the variety of works was great to see - from wool sculpture, to gouache and lino-cut, as well as greetings cards and watercolour, it was a really popular part of the gallery.

New Forest Show 2017

July 21, 2017By adminSTUDIO

Hey, I'm going to be part of the New Forest Show 2017 starting next weekend! Got my pictures at the ready and hope to do some demonstrating too. I am showing three pictures (two drawings and one canvas) and a number of cards at the event. I'm picking some pictures up at the framers tomorrow and taking them to the showground on Sunday...lots of prep to do.

Here's a bit about the show itself (it's a rather big deal for us country folk, having been running for years and years it's built up a major reputation and following...):

THE NEW FOREST AND HAMPSHIRE COUNTY SHOW

"Taking place in Brockenhurst in the heart of the National Park, the New Forest Show offers visitors 30 acres of showground for the whole family to explore. 2017 marks the 97th Show which takes place annually at the end of July and is now rated among the top ten agricultural shows in the country."

It's going to be packed, with usually 15,000 people turning up over the weekend from country and city. I'm hoping for good weather too....see you there!

Meet Minnie The Greek Pup!

July 19, 2017By adminSTUDIO

Meet Minnie, a six month old Greek pup who is a little shy. I was asked to do this to celebrate her as a pup and it was a pleasure – a little different to do as she is a little more shy than other pups that I draw, also that I haven’t got to meet her in person yet, just via FaceTime and photos. (Commonly the case with my international clients). However, it was lovely to challenge myself with a new character to pooch life, in the shyness and dependency of a small one. This pic is now on its way to her owner in Greece!

Robin: Anticipating a Siberian Winter

December 30, 2015By adminSTUDIO

This drawing of a Robin redbreast was a quick sketch one cold evening when Christmas was coming (you know, the time when all of the adverts FINALLY make their way onto tv in droves!). So I decided to make a few sketch ideas for this year’s Christmas card. Robins are always so cheerful, despite whatever Winter dreariness we are thrown, thanks to their bright red markings. So i thought it was a good subject matter, also fort the anatomical accuracy needed to make it look recognisable!

Anticipating the Siberian winter we were promised. Well actually it never came!
